Paul N. Sharlow, 71, passed away Sunday April 20, 2014 at Claxton-Hepburn Hospital where he had been a patient for a week. Paul was born on July 1, 1942 in Ogdensburg, the son of Henry A. and Florence (Jandrew) Sharlow.
He is survived by a brother, Edwin and wife Lorie of Waddington; a sister, Beverly Muhlbeier of Sonora, CA; a stepchild, Wendell “Tad” Woodring of Waddington; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul worked in California as a painter, moving back to the North Country in 1987. He began driving truck shortly after and was once employed by Wolf Clan Trucking. He was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers, Mildred Champion, Maude Freeman and Helen Rookey, Roy W., Henry A. and David L. Sharlow.
Paul enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with his family and friends, and his little dog “Angel”. He was a member of the Waddington Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Waddington Volunteer Rescue and Fire Department. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so in Paul’s name to Waddington Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Waddington with Msgr. Harry Snow presiding. Friends and family may be received on Wednesday April 23, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, 28 Clinton St. in Waddington.
