Osee “Jack” G. Reyome, age 82, of South Bombay, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 16, 1928 in Brushton, the son of the late Oliver and Erma (Lamica) Reyome. Jack attended school in Bombay. Mr. Reyome retired in 1986 from Alcoa Metals in Massena, with 38 years of dedicated services.
He was a past member of the Bombay Fire Dept., St. Joseph’s Church in Bombay, The Moose of Massena, and the Alcoa 25 year club. In his free time, Jack loved to Bowl, go hunting, fishing and camping, but most importantly he cherished the time spent with his family.
In 1949 he was united in marriage to Irene J. Niles in Bombay. She predeceased him in 1991.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Ziser of South Bombay; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Kelly Reyome of Fairport, Kevin and Jayme Reyome of Buffalo, Terry and companion Denyel Webber Reyome of Moira, and Jeff and Cindy Reyome of Bombay; and ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Jack was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, Carl, Edgar, Leon and Floyd Reyome; and sisters Theresa Rockhill, Vivian McCune, Gladys McCune, Gertrude Marshall, Bernice Leduc and Neola Reyome.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2 to 4p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, St. Regis Falls, with Rev. Alfred H. Fish officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Brushton, at the Convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bombay Fire Dept or the American Cancer Society in Jack’s memory.
