Miss Memphis Rain Carle, age 7, daughter of Kevin L. and Sharlann (Diabo) Carle, of 211 County Route 32, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday morning, December 3, 2011 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.
Memphis was born February 18, 2004 in Cornwall and was currently a 2nd grade student at Salmon River Central School. She loved listening to music and school. She loved to be cuddled, talked and sang to.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, Jalaya Carle of Syracuse, Kiesha “Howie” Diabo, Savannah, Collin, Quinton, and Georgia Carle all at home. She is also survived by her grandparents, Tassie and Larry Rourke of Akwesasne, Rick and Deneen Diabo of Kahnawake; and Elsie Johnson of Kahnawake; great-grandparents, Barney and Viola Rourke of Akwesasne; her aunts and uncles, Maggie and Jamie Bay, Cara Diabo and Rusty Jonathan, Montana Diabo, Arif and Tracie Rourke, Blake Diabo and Margaret Jock, and Taylor Diabo; her godparents, Casey and Alex “Big Boy” Garrow of Akwesasne and many great-aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call at the Akwesasne Homemakers, 1126 River Road, Snye, beginning Sunday 7:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Angels will be celebrated Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at St. Regis Catholic Church with Rev. Jerome Pastores, celebrating. Burial will follow in Kateri Cemetery, Akwesasne.
