RAYMONDVILLE – Melinda K. Carbone, 55, of Fairlawn Avenue, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday morning, December 27, 2022, at her home.
Mindy was born in Potsdam on May 6, 1967, the daughter of the late John E. “Joe” and Marilyn Kay (Allen) Clark. Raised in Parishville, she attended and graduated from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. She continued her education, graduating from Canton ATC and later from Plattsburgh State University. On July 7, 1990, she married Joseph M. Carbone at St. Mary’s Church in Massena with Rev. Floyd “Jerry” Bleaux, officiating.
Mindy first worked as a case worker for ARC and later with Sunmount. However, her most important job was raising her sons and more recently, caring for her granddaughters. She also cooked and took great pride in caring for others.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Joe; her son, Michael and Kristy Carbone of Brasher Falls and Ryan Carbone of Raymondville; her beloved granddaughters, Bella and Caramia; her sisters, Tamara “Tammy” Tarbell of Liverpool, Brenda and Kevin Hanson of Hopkinton, and Donna and Daniel Lazarek of West Winfield; her nieces and nephews, Kailyn, Connor, Kristin, Thomas, Andrew, Kevin, Alex, Nathan, D.J., Alyssa, and Joseph; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, David Tarbell.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however, there will be no public calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held on January 7th at the Potsdam Moose Lodge #2397 with a brief ceremony held at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to the Potsdam Humane Society or Norfolk Rescue Squad.
