CANTON – Funeral services for Marsha Ann Aldous, 37, of County Rt. 25, Canton, will be held on Monday (Oct. 4, 2010) at noon at the Fox and Murray Funeral Home with Pastors Donna Doig and David Hart co-officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Canton.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Aldous passed away unexpectedly on (Sept. 29, 2010) at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Surviving are her parents, Thomas and Eleanor Aldous; aunts and uncles Melbeatra and Edgar Bradberry of Sacketts Harbor, Lawrence and Shirley Aldous and Robert and Gail Aldous both of Canton, Elmer and Mary Cougler of Ogdensburg, Jean LaJoy of Ogdensburg, Jane and Thomas Rivet of Heuvelton, Barbara and Ed Lumbard of Pyrites, Terry Cougler of Heuvelton, Karen and David McNamara of New Jersey and Karl and Linda Cougler of Heuvelton along several cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Clarence and Mary Cougler, Edson and Laura Aldous and an uncle Robert Cougler.
Marsha was born on Jan. 15, 1973 in Potsdam, the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor (Cougler) Aldous. She graduated from Canton Central High School and continued her education at Potsdam State where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.
She has been employed at the St. Lawrence County Highway Department since 1995 where she has held many job titles.
She enjoyed her pets, cooking and preparing large dinner gatherings for her family and remodeling her home.
Memorial contributions have been requested in her memory to the Ogdensburg or Potsdam animal shelters.
