Marion B. Driscoll, 83, Lisbon, died on Wednesday, May 11, at United Helpers Nursing Home, Ogdensburg surrounded by her family.
Marion was born on January 8, 1928, in Canton, the daughter of Walter and Gladys Merkley Bradley. She married Thomas J. Driscoll on December 27, 1958, in Fairport. They resided in Lisbon their entire married life. Mr. Driscoll died July 26, 2007. After her husband’s death, Marion moved to the Fulton Rd., Lisbon to be near her daughter Michelle. Marion was employed for 28 years at ACCO, retiring in November of 1989.
Marion enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo, and bowling, having bowled on several teams. In the later years, she enjoyed camping and watching her grandsons play hockey and soccer. The highlight of her day was Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and a good ball game on T.V.
Marion is survived by her daughters, Michelle and Clifford Young of Lisbon, Sherri and Howard Hess of Ogdensburg, Theresa Driscoll of Saranac, Joan Louie of Madrid, Rebecca Clark of Rensesselar Falls, Marilyn Kinch of Rensesselar Falls; and a son, Ronald Driscoll of Waynesboro, Mississippi. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a special companion, her chocolate lab, Coco. She is also survived by a brother, Richard and Rose Bradley of Parish; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Driscoll; sisters, June Baker and Shirley Perry; and a brother, Robert Bradley.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m.. at SS. Phillip and James Church in Lisbon with Rev. Jay Semour officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA in Ogdensburg.
