Funeral services for Marguerite Cooper, age 93, of United Helpers Nursing Home, will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Cooper passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at United Helpers Nursing Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her daughter, Nancy Limoges of Ogdensburg; a son, Ronald Cooper and his wife Vi of Littleton, Colorado; four grandchildren, Ronald Limoges and his wife Alice of Dover Plains, Diane Limoges and her companion Tim LaJoy of Ogdensburg, Leo Limoges of Ogdensburg and Eric Cooper and his wife Nicole of Austin, TX; four great grandchildren, Mary Soyka and her husband Eric of Kingston, Danielle Watts and her husband Brian of Bluebell, PA, Ellen Limoges of Wassiac, Ron Limoges Jr. of Dover Plains, and David Edward Limoges of Cortland; and four great great grandchildren, Ava Watts, Alex and Arianna Soyka and Tyler Wilcox.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Ellen (Denny) Falardeau; sisters, Lena Webb, Eleanor Quinland, Verna Frick, Lester Falardeau Jr. and George Falardeau; and a son-in-law, David Limoges .
Mrs. Cooper was born on October 6, 1917 in the daughter of Lester and Ellen Falardeau. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1936. She married William H. Cooper on May 10, 1936 at Notre Dame Church. Mrs. Cooper was employed by Standard Shade Roller for many years as a production worker. She enjoyed shopping, watching Yankees Baseball with her granddaughter and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Marguerite’s memory be made to the American Alzheimer’s association.
