Margaret S. “Margie” Blair, 59, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at her home. Mararet was born in Ogdensburg on July 16, 1951, the daughter of Morris “Scotty” and Lizabeth Paquette Tortoriello. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1969 and from Mater Dei in Ogdensburg with an Associate’s degree. Margie married Lawrence A. “Peanut” Blair on May 20, 2000 in Florida. Lawrence passed away July 24, 2006.

Margie enjoyed her pets, taking trips to the casino, and spending time with her friends and very special extended family. She was a homemaker most of her life.

Margie is survived by her brother, Michael Tortoriello and his companion Bobbi Jo Saber of South Colton; and her very dear friends, Avis Whitton and Cheryl Holland.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband Lawrence.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 18th from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. Gregory Bailey, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date.
