Margaret Ayotte Ryken, 52, Massena, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13 at her home.
Margaret was born Oct. 1, 1960 in Massena, the daughter of Lucien Peter and Carol J. Weaver Ayotte.
She graduated from Massena Central Schools and took cosmetology courses at BOCES.
She later moved to Louisiana where she was married to Donald Ryken, who predeceased her.
While living in Louisiana, she was a manager for Circle K Convenience Stores until becoming disabled.
She moved back to Massena in July. Margaret enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing word search puzzles, and her pet birds. She was also an avid LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan.
She is survived by her father, Lucien “Pete” Ayotte of Massena; her son, Anthony Farve of Louisiana; two sisters, Catherine Ayotte of Cleveland, Ohio and Judy Ayotte of Massena; three brothers, Peter and Robert Ayotte, both of Massena; James Ayotte of Cleveland; many step-siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her companion of 17 years, Phillip Farve, Sr. in November 2010; her mother, Carol on January 16, 1979; her step-mother, Edna Oakes Ayotte on October 22, 2010; and her sister, JoAnn Leaf on January 5, 1988.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Following cremation, she will be entombed in Louisiana.
