Lyle D Streeter, 74, Waddington

Funeral services for Lyle D Streeter,74 of Halfway House Rd, Waddington will be held Wednesday evening, Feb. 9, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington with Tom Nichols Lay Speaker officiating. Interment will in Brookside Cemetery, Waddington in the spring. Friends and family may call from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St Lawrence Valley. Lyle died Saturday morning at his home surrounded by family and hospice.

Surviving Lyle is his wife of 56 years, Jean; four daughters, Janet Todd of Morley, Susan and husband Ky Deschamps of DeKalb Junction, Judy Streeter and companion Chris Hayes of Hammond, Donna Streeter of Lisbon; three sons, Steven of Chase Mills, Dennis and his companion Sammi Richardson and Daniel and companion Brittany Chester all of Waddington; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dean and wife Edythe of Waddington; a sister, Marilyn Loveless of Parish and nieces and nephews. Lyle was predeceased a brother, William and by a half sister and a half brother, Verna Blondin and Robert Haas.

Lyle was born in Cranberry Lake Feb 20, 1936 the son of William and Hazel( Dennison) Streeter. Lyle was married to the former Jean Duvall July 10, 1954 at the First Methodist Church, Waddington by Rev. John Clark. Lyle and his wife owned and operated the family dairy farm since 1966 until he suffered a stroke several years ago. Lyle ran a sawmill and a sugar bush, he also loved working with draft horses.
