Funeral services for Lucille A. Rochefort, 84, formerly of Ober St. will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev. J. Michael Gaffney presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Covington. Lucille passed away peacefully on September 5, 2011 at the home of her daughter Debra and son in-law Tim, with whom she had been residing in Colchester, VT.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Rochefort and husband Timothy VanBuren of Colchester, VT; a son, Alan and wife Barbara Rochefort of Massena; two grandchildren, Tadd and his wife Margo Rochefort, and Nicole and her husband Shawn Plourde; three great grandchildren, Bayley, Sydney and Amanda; several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Lucine, Donahue of Fort Covington.
She was predeceased by sisters, Loretta Hance and two in infancy, Annette and Lucine.
Lucille was born on March 9, 1927 in Massena the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Heneault) Beaulne. She married Joseph Rochefort on April 24, 1948 at St. Mary's Church, Joseph predeceased her in 2002. She was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Massena. Lou had a love of music, enjoyed playing cards and playing on her computer. Her healing hand was given freely to all.
