Memorial services for Lucille E. Kern, 86, formerly of Madrid will be held at the convenience of the family at a late date to be announced. Lucille died peacefully Wednesday evening, March 17, at the St Regis Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Amy Wilson of Massena; a son, Timothy of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Rachel of Mozambique, and Noah of CT. Lucille was predeceased by a sister, Mary Gendron.
Lucille was born in Watertown on May 8, 1924, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Fisher) Rooney. She graduated from Watertown High School and attended Pratt Institute.
Lucille's marriage to Jeff Wilson ended in divorce. Lucille married James Kern on April of 1974 . Mr. Kern predeceased her in 1976.
Lucille was a well known as a pianist and was a painter of portraits. Lucille was very active in earlier years at St. John's Episcopal Church.
