HEUVELTON - Lois Breckenridge, 94, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, in Salem, Oregon.
Lois was born in Utica, New York, and was raised from age 3 at her family's farm on River Road in Heuvelton.
She graduated from Heuvelton Central School and Crouse Irving School of Nursing.
She worked at Gouverneur and A. Barton Hepburn Hospital before becoming School Nurse and Attendance Officer at Canton Central School.
She is survived by daughter, Jamie Breckenridge; son, James Breckenridge (Karen); granddaughter, Sierra; and grandson, Riley (Morgan), all of Salem, Oregon.
She is predeceased by parents Garfield and Sadie Walker of Heuvelton, New York, and husband, Wallace (Bud), also of Heuvelton, New York.
Lois enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lois and Bud worked together, creating and competing in waterfowl carving, winning a number of awards.
She was also a knitting and crocheting judge at the New York State Fair for several years.
Lois moved to Salem, Oregon, after Bud's death.
Burial and celebration of life will take place in 2023 in Heuvelton.
