A mass of resurrection for Linda J. Fiacco, 70, of Cherry St., Massena will be held on June 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Sacred Heart. Friends and family may call on June 10, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Linda passed away on June 8, 2011 at her home.
She is survived by two sons, and two daughters, A. Mario and wife Lynne of Cornwall, Anthony Fiacco of Massena, Charlotte and husband Nick Zappia, and Charlene V. Fiacco both of Massena; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lou Metruck, Betty Papelian both of Massena, and Kathy Dann of Fulton; two brothers, Keith Prosper of Dickinson Center, and Kenneth Prosper of North Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Florence Mungari.
Linda was born on April 10, 1941 in Massena the daughter of Charles and Iva ( Sturgen) Prosper. Linda attended Massena Schools. She married Augustus C. Fiacco on April 28, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. George Tobin presiding. Mr. Fiacco preceded her in death November 28, 1991. Linda was employed at the Massena Housing Authority for 10 years as a Tennant Relations Coordinator. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family.
