Funeral services for Lincoln James Ledwith, age 22, of 408 Seymour Street, will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Mary’s Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Ledwith passed away Tuesday morning, January 11, 2011 at his mother’s home in Albany.
Mr. Ledwith is survived by his mother, Victoria Thornhill of Albany; his father, Ricky Ledwith of Ogdensburg; one sister, Kaitlin Ledwith of Ogdensburg; one nephew, Jace Thomas Pike; his paternal grandparents, James and Donna Ledwith of Ogdensburg; and his maternal grandparents, Dale Thornhill of Heuvelton and Norma Stiles and her husband Kenneth of Kendrew Corners.
Mr. Ledwith was born on November 11, 1988 in Ogdensburg, the son of Ricky Ledwith and Victoria Thornhill. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy. In high school, he excelled in soccer, football and was the wrestling captain and won Section X Championships in wrestling in 2005 and 2006. He won many wrestling championships including 4th place in Eastern Nationals.
Mr. Ledwith was employed by the Painters Union Local # 201 where he was working for TEC Protective Coating out of Waterford.
Mr. Ledwith enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was involved in the Ogdensburg Youth Association where donations can be made in his memory.
