Lena M. Cotey, 98, of Sun City Center, Florida and formerly of North Lawrence, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014.
She was born in Bombay, New York, to Jay McCune and Bessie Jackson McCune.
She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Cotey, in 2004 after 63 years of marriage.
They retired to Florida 33 years ago from North Lawrence, New York, where they owned and operated a small retail business.
She was of the Methodist faith. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her son, William Cotey; daughters Lynn M. Griffin, Judith Cotey Mower, Eva Ridge Sanchez, and Beth Cotey Runkel; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
