Memorial services for Leita P. Brown, 101 formerly of Hunter Rd. Waddington will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m., June 18, 2011 at the Presbyterian Church, Waddington. Interment will be in the family plot in Union Cemetery, Waddington. Leita passed away Friday afternoon, May 13, 2011 at the United Helpers Home, Ogdensburg.
Surviving Leita are her two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Phyllis) Bippus of Sebring, Fl. Marilyn Burrill of Waddington; five grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, Colleen, Jennifer and Beth; five great-grandchildren, Scott, Emily, Isiah, Robert and Rachel; her former son-in-law Jack Smith of Colton.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband Ernest August 291989; a brother, Richard and a sister, Virginia.
Leita was born July 21, 1909 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of Francis and Cora (Pitts) Pahl. Leita married Ernest A Brown May 2, 1940 in Wandott, MI. Leita and her late husband resided in Waddington since 1975.
She was very active in the Presbyterian Church and the Girl Scouts.
