Lawrence A. “Larry” O’Shea, age 53, of Co. Rt. 59, Dexter, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his home unexpectedly.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 19th from 1-4 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Edwards. The funeral service will be on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. William Hart of the Edwards United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at South Russell Cemetery.

Larry was born on October 27, 1957 in Rochester, to Roland F. and Mildred J. (Howland) O’Shea. He graduated from South Jefferson Central School in 1975 and went on to graduate from SUNY Canton ATC in 1977.

Larry worked as a laborer at various locations. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his mother and step father, Mildred J. “Millie” (O’Shea) Howard and Gary Howard of Florida; a son, Justin O’Shea of Watertown; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rachel and Jason Wood of Adams and Crystal O’Shea of Syracuse; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell “Rick” and Loretta O’Shea of Oswego; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jason Gilchrist of Adams; two grandsons, Stephen and Logan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Roland who died on April 21, 1972.
