Funeral services for Kim L. Schumann, age 49, of 399 Old State Road, Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Schumann passed away on February 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Schumann is survived by her husband Charles; one son, Matthew L. Davis of Orid; one step-son, Matthew L. Schumann of Colorado; her mother, Susan A. Cameron of Potsdam; her father, Charles Cameron of Sterling Pond; her maternal grandmother, Catherine Richards of Canton; three brothers, Charles Cameron and his wife Laura of Winthrop, Bruce Cameron of Tennessee and Brian Cameron and his wife Ann of Potsdam; one sister, Robin Norquest and her husband Thomas of Potsdam.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Nichole Davis on September 24, 2007.
Mrs. Schumann was born on August 2, 1961 in Potsdam, the daughter of Charles and Susan (Richards) Cameron. She graduated from Parishville High school and then attended St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Syracuse, later graduating from Canton ATC. Kim Cameron Davis married Charles Schumann on August 25, 2003 in Ogdensburg with Phil Fonda officiating. She worked at Canton Potsdam Hospital in the Lab and later working for Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mrs. Schumann loved raising Shih-Tzu, quilting, making jewelry, painting and horses. She had many hurdles in her life, which she crossed always with spunk and vigor. She had a wide circle of friends which knew her for her love of life. She was known to be the life of the party and always had a sparkle in her eyes.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Association and the American Cancer Association.
