Funeral services for Kenneth A. Dafoe, 81, of Lisbon, will be on Feb. 10, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, 20 Church St. in Madrid.
Friends and family may be received on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Morley Cemetery in the spring.
Mr. Dafoe passed away on Feb. 6, 2011 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons, Lynn of Colorado and David and wife Sheri of Oswego; three granddaughters, Melissa and husband Adam Deppe, Carly Dafoe, Denver, and Lauren Dafoe of Oswego; three grandsons, Christopher and wife Samantha and Stephen Decker, of Pennsylvania, Benjamin Dafoe of Oswego; a great grandson, Joey Dafoe and a great granddaughter, Sophia Deppe of Colorado; a brother, Victor, and two sisters, Beverly and husband Joe St. Louis, of Arizona, Lila O'Neil of Texas.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Decker.
Kenneth was born August 29, 1929 in Canton the son of Alfred and Marie (Paquin) Dafoe. He attended Canton High School.
He married the former Shirley M. Sanderson on June 16, 1950 at the Canton United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Dobies officiating.
The couple lived in Lisbon most of their married lives.
Mr. Dafoe served with the Army in the European Theater of Operations with the 10th Constabulary Regt.
He was employed at Alcoa, retiring in 1988. Kenneth was a member of the Old Bucks Bridge Community Church.
