OGDENSBURG – Funeral services for Keitha M. Palmer, 67, of Knox Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Friday (Oct. 8, 2010) at 2 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Entombment will follow the service at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Palmer passed away on Tuesday (October 5, 2010) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Surviving are her three sons Robert Palmer of Lisbon, Kevin Palmer & his wife Denise of Ogdensburg, Corey Palmer & his fiancée Kristina Chase of Ogdensburg; a sister Mabel Baxter of Hermon; grandchildren Jenna Palmer, Christopher Palmer, Shelby Poore, Austyn Chase, Kailey House, and Caydence Palmer; her companion John Huntley of Ogdensburg and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband “Bob” Palmer in 2003, a sister Deborah Lawrence in 2005 and an infant daughter Amy Jo Palmer at four months old.
Keitha was born on May 31, 1943 in Canton, a daughter of the late Keith & Marjorie (Brooks) Perry. She graduated from Canton High School and married Robert A. Palmer on November 11, 1961.
She was an employee of Newell Manufacturing for 20+ years until they closed and then she attended BOCES where she participated in the culinary arts program.
In 2008 she then became employed by Caregivers, where she was a current employee.
She enjoyed garage sales, shopping, playing cards, bingo and the casino, going for rides in the country and spending time with her children & grandchildren.
Memorial contributions have been requested to the Lisbon Volunteer Fire and Rescue or a charity of ones choice.
