CANTON — The family of Katherine J. Charleson is sad to announce Katherine passed peacefully February 7th 2023 while at Maple Wood Nursing Home in Canton NY.

Born March 15, 1935 to the late Rosie and Nicolas Saulnier of Colton NY.

Katherine was married to Donald Charleson for sixty years with whom she raised seven children.

She retired from the Canton/Potsdam Nursing home after thirty five years.

Katherine loved to go camping at Blake, Colton NY, and to garage sales where she would always find a hidden treasure as well as spending time with her grandchildren, and baking up new recipes.

She loved to visit with friends and family and always had an open door.

She was a fiery little lady with a lot of sass and a fun loving spirit.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald Charleson, son Michael Charleson Sr. and

grandson Michael Charleson Jr. as well as brothers John Saulnier and Donnie Saulnier, and a sister Esther Buckley.

Katherine is survived by her sons Donnie (Katy) Charleson, Phillip (Barbara) Charleson, Brad Charleson, and daughters Joanne Melanson, Sandie (Les) Frank and Tammy Charleson, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Upon her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
