A Mass of Resurrection for Karen L. Bourdon, 45, of Constable will be Monday at 12:00 noon (May 9, 2011) at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
At the request of the family memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Karen's Hope Scholarship Fund, c/o Community Bank, 217 West Main St. Malone, N.Y. 12953. Karen died Monday (May 2,2011) at the family home.
Surviving Karen is her husband, Ronald E; a son, Dilan Clark; a daughter, Jamel Clark; a brother, Mark Bourdon of Malone; stepchildren, Ronald E. Jr. and wife Terri of Potsdam, Susan and husband Shawn Welch and Sandra and husband Carl Dunn both of Constable; and several aunts and uncles.
Karen was born on June 12, 1965 in Massena the daughter of F. Armand and Jamel (Abdallah) Bourdon. Karen was a graduate of Massena Central High School in 1983. Karen also earned a Bachelors Degree from the State University of Potsdam and her Masters fom the University of Maine in Counselor Education. She married Ronald E. Clark on September 29, 1995 in Constable.
Karen was a counselor for the Malone Middle School at Flanders Elementary School in Malone, having introduced the Rachel's Challenge program to the Malone School System. Karen was an avid photographer taking classes in photography.
