Miss June A. “Punk” Jacobs, 40, of 498 Cook Road, passed away Tuesday morning, September 28, 2010 at the Massena Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
June was born July 4, 1970 in Cornwall, Ontario, the daughter of David “Chuggo” and Kathleen Cook Jacobs. She attended St. Regis Village Schools and Salmon River Central School. She was a member of the Andrew W. Cook American Legion Auxiliary, Post 1479, Hogansburg. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing pool, and watching NASCAR. She also was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching baseball and softball games. She was also very good to her younger cousins, treating them like nieces and nephews.
Punk is survived by her mother, Kathleen “Kateri” Jacobs of Akwesasne; her companion, Joseph Adams of Akwesasne; her sister, Jocelyn Jacobs of Akwesasne; her brother, Jonas Jacobs and his companion of Rebecca White of Akwesasne; a nephew, Kode Jacobs and a step-niece, Kiera Jacobs; two godchildren, Kashton Millett and Korbin Oakes; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father on July 11, 1992 and her grandparents.
Friends may call at her home, The Cook Farm, beginning 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until 11:00 a.m. Friday when funeral services will be held at the home.
