June E .Perry, 93, of Belmont St. Massena, passed away Sunday morning at her residence (March 20, 2011) surrounded by her family and hospice. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m. (March 22, 2011) at St. Mary's Church with Rev. J. Michael Gaffney presiding Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
Friends and family may call Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of services at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
Surviving June is her son, Wendell Perry of Woodburn, Oregon; four grandchildren, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild; and two brothers, Lyle Marlowe and Peter Marlow both of Massena.
June was preceded in death by her son, Matthew in 2003; her husband, Oreson in 2008 with whom she had been married to for nearly 72 years; four sisters, Francis Lockwood, Florence Kennedy, Blanche Earnest and Marie Beaudoin; and two brothers, Clarence and Royal Marlow.
June was born June 8, 1917 in Ogdensburg the daughter of William and Lena (LaRose) Marlow. She was a graduate of Massena High School. She married Oreson J. Perry on October 2, 1937 at the Church of the Sacred Heart by the Rev. Luker. June at one time was employed as a sales clerk at Levine's Clothing Store and later at Kauffman's Clothing Store.
She was a member of the League of Sacred Heart at St Mary's Church. June enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music. At her request memorials may be made to the NYSARC Program, 6 Commerce Lane, Canton, N.Y.13617.
