Mr. John P. Terrance, 63, of 48 Willow Street, passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2011, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, VT where he had been admitted on Thursday.

John was born April 29, 1948, Massena, the son of Peter J. and Myrtle E. Roberts Terrance. He attended Salmon River and Massena schools. He was married to Brenda Terrance who predeceased him on January 10, 2008.

He worked for Massena Central School as a grounds keeper and also was employed as a truck driver which he enjoyed immensely. John also served in the United States Army. His favorite pastime was being at the Bingo Palace. John enjoyed cooking, telling stories and watching scary movies on T.V.

John is survived by one son and two daughters, Todd and Kathern Terrance of Albany, Dayna Terrance of Louisville and Brittany and Brian Krawczyk of Massena; his sister, Barbara McKenna of Massena; a brother, Thomas of Massena; a sister-in-law, Maureen Terrance of Massena; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Gerald who passed away of August 28, 2004.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
