Private graveside service for John P. Davis Jr., 55 of Massena, will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Pine Grove II in Norfolk. John passed away on May 9 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont.

He is survived by his children, Michael of Texas, John III of Massena, Jason of Georgia, and Philip of TN; his mother June of Massena; several grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bruce Durrant of Madrid, Sylvia and husband Howard of Norfolk, Theresa and husband Donald Walker, of Norwood, Kathy Carr of N. Carolina, June and husband Andrian LaMay of Massena, Robin and wife Lilly Davis of Rochester, Yancy and Harold LaPradd of Massena, Victoria and Paul Corson of Dennamora, and Ralph and wife Edith Davis of Massena; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Love Geneway; and William “Duff” Davis.

A marriage to Kathy Douglas ended in divorce. He was a service technician working for various local companies in the area. John enjoyed hunting and fishing. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. Arrangements are being handled by the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
