Funeral services for Joanne A. Countryman, age 79, of Bull Run Rd, Lisbon, will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Lynn Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburgh Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on July 18, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Countryman passed away on July 14, 2011 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mrs. Countryman is survived by three daughters, Andrea Schultz and her husband John of TX, Catherine Countryman and her companion Michael Jerome Jr. of Lisbon and Anita Billings and her husband Charles of Heuvelton; two sons, Ward Davison and his wife Linda of Ogdensburg and Raymond Davison and his wife Elsie of Cato; one daughter in law, Jennifer Davison of Ogdensburg; and twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Mrs. Countryman was born on October 6, 1931 in North Tonawanda, the daughter of Raymond and Arley Fischer Davison. She attended local schools. She married Francis Countryman on March 6, 1965 in Waddington. He passed away in 2004. Mrs. Countryman served in the US Army Reserves. She worked at Newberry’s and later worked for the Goodyear Store as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Countryman enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
