Funeral services for Jenson P. Measheaw, age 30, of the Pray Road in Lisbon, will be held on Saturday (April 23, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon Francis Bateman officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Jenson died Wednesday (April 20, 2011) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his family after being stricken at home on Tuesday.
Surviving are his parents Jeffrey Measheaw and Renee’ (Fisher) Measheaw of Ogdensburg; companion Erin Geary and their daughter Hailey Breann Measheaw of Ogdensburg; sisters Heather Leeson and her husband Robert of Morristown, Terry Lynn Hamilton and her husband Lucas of Ogdensburg, and Christina Miller of Ogdensburg; a brother, Cory Legault of Ogdensburg; paternal grandmother, Linda Measheaw of Ogdensburg who raised Jenson along with his parents; maternal grandparents Beth and Jerry Fisher of Ogdensburg; Uncles Gary Measheaw, Bernie Jr and Jeanne Measheaw, Jay Measheaw, Christopher and Amy Measheaw, Adam and Nancy Measheaw, Ed and Jenny Fisher and Vinnie Fisher all of Ogdensburg; and Aunts Lynn Measheaw of Gouverneur, Helen and Robert Middlemiss, Mary and Dave Blevins of Ogdensburg, Jerry Lee and Robert Johnson of Ogdensburg and Angie Whitefield of Cadyville.
He was predeceased by a paternal grandfather, Bernie Measheaw; uncles William Willard and Gary Measheaw; and a cousin, Landen Measheaw.
Jenson was born on October 31, 1980 in Ogdensburg, the son of Jeffrey and Renee’ (Fisher) Measheaw. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy for his education and married Amy Petrie which later ended in separation.
He was a longtime tattoo artist and enjoyed carpentry work, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, drawing & painting, ice fishing and spending time with his daughter Hailey.
