Funeral services for Jeanette I. Mathis, age 59, of Robb Road, Hammond will be held at a time to be announced. Ms. Mathis passed away at her home on Feb 28, 2014.

Surviving is longtime companion Roy Suggs of Hammond; a brother Jerry Hutton & his wife Anita of Gouverneur; two sisters, JoAnn Shove & her husband Rodney of Rossie and Judy Hitchman of Gouverneur; and a very special friend Valerie McAdam of Gouverneur. A brother, Jack Hutton pre-deceased her.

Jeanette was born on October 5, 1954 in Gouverneur, a daughter of the late Robert & Frances (Yerden) Hutton. She attended Gouverneur High School and was employed at local businesses as a retail clerk for many years. She retired in 2009.
