Funeral services for James Taylor, age 60, of Rome, NY, will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. Mary’s Cathedral at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor passed away on August 25, 2011 at Rome Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Taylor is survived by two brothers, Paul Taylor and his wife Charlotte Taylor and William Taylor, both of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Mary Taylor and Mrs. Craig (Suzanne) McWilliams, both of Ogdensburg; and four nieces, one nephew, two great nieces, three great nephews and aunts and uncles.
Mr. Taylor was born on November 1, 1950 in Ogdensburg, the son of William and Elizabeth (Clark) Taylor. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1969. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Binghamton College. He became disabled after graduating from college.
Mr. Taylor was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral. He enjoyed listening to 60’s and 70’s music.
