Funeral services for James McPherson, age 70, of 316 Clark Street, will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Frary Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Francis Bateman officiating. Calling hours will be held on January 12, 2012 at Frary Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Mr. McPherson passed away on January 8, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. McPherson is survived by his wife, Nina; one daughter, Colleen Regan and her husband Shannon of Fairport; five brothers, Robert of Silver Springs, FL and Ogdensburg, Thomas and his wife Mary-Anne of Ogdensburg, Donald and his wife Carolyn of Ogdensburg, William of Ogdensburg and John of Augusta, GA; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Darrell and Timothy at infancy.

Mr. McPherson was born on September 20, 1941 in Ogdensburg, the son of James Sr. and Donna Blevins McPherson. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1959. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1963. He married Nina Belile on October 16, 2011 in Ogdensburg. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Reynolds in Massena.

Mr. McPherson was a member of the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Amvets and the American Legion. Mr. McPherson loved playing his guitar.
