A Mass of Resurrection for Ida Mae L. White, 89, Brasher Falls, will be held on Tuesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Hogansburg, with Rev. Martin Cline presiding. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Ida Mae passed away on June 23 at Massena Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Thomas H. and wife Loretta of Bombay; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Also surviving Ida Mae are brothers, George Paige of Louisville, and Charles of Chateaugay; sisters, Theresa Kirkey of Norwood, Cecile Debien of Massena, Ruth "Betty" Dobbins of Massena; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Delon G. and Richard L. She was predeceased by sisters, Gertrude Monroe, and Maida Runion, and also by brothers, Norville Paige, Walter and Irving Paige and Durell "Bud" Paige.
Ida Mae was born on October 25, 1921, in Massena, the daughter of Isaac and Lena (LaPointe) Paige. She married Clement White on June 27, 1938, at St. Lawrence Church with Rev. Patrick Riley presiding. Mr. White predeceased her on November 5, 1991.
