Helen Eileen Clary, age 78, of Russell, passed away on August 31, 2011 at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.
Her funeral service will be at French Funeral Home, Edwards on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. William Hart. Burial will follow in the South Russell Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Helen was born on July 13, 1933 in Pierrepont to the late Leland and Adelaide (Bice) Davis. She attended Knox Memorial School and married Thomas Carl Clary. The marriage ended in divorce.
Helen has lived in the Russell area all of her life and worked as a summer cook at Dodge Pond, Fine for five years. She enjoyed reading and watching television.
Her survivors include six sons, Thomas (Ruth) Clary of Degrasse, Theodore Clary of Russell, Terrance (Tonya) Clary of Russell, Truman (Lynette) Clary of Clare, James (Theresa) Clary of Russell, and Jeffrey (Bethany) Clary of Russell; two daughters, Tess (Robert) Eels of Russell and Josie (Timothy) Thomson of Dekalb Junction; a daughter in law, Nancy Clary of Russell; sisters-in-law, Janet Davis of Morley, Jackie Davis of Russell and Arlene Davis of Pulaski; and 22 grandchildren, over 30 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by a son, Timothy Clary; three brothers, Charles, Martin and Laverne “Pete” Davis; and her sisters and their husbands, Edith (Kenneth) Carlin and Deanna (Vernon) Forbes.
