Mr. Heath Michael Kellogg, 34, of 68 Beach Street, passed unexpectedly Thursday morning at his home.
He was born May 8, 1976 in Massena, the son of Paul G. and Cynthia L. Young Kellogg. As a military child, he attended schools in Panama, Georgia, Alaska, and graduated from Massena High School in 1994. On March 20, 2010, he married Dorothy D. Daniel Jacobs at St. John’s Episcopal Church, with Rev. Joel T. Grigg, officiating.
Heath once worked at McDonalds in Fort Drum before coming back to Massena, where he worked at Sears. He also worked as a poker dealer at the Mohawk Bingo Palace and Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, where he also volunteered as a dealer for many benefits held there. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, whether it be, hunting, fishing, camping, or canoeing, he enjoyed them all. He loved animals and was a certified scuba diver. He also enjoyed spending any time he could with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his mother, Cynde Kellogg of Massena; his father and stepmother, Paul and Vicki Kellogg of Redwood; his maternal grandparents, Blair and Janet Young of Massena; his sister, Heather M. Kellogg, her companion, Lawrence Brooks, and his son, Buddy Dewey of Massena; his brother, George Kellogg, his companion, Stephanie Deshane, their children, Jennifer and Justin Deshane and his son, Bryson, all of Plattsburg; his stepbrothers, Ryan and Randy Gillis and David Wilson all of Redwood; and his wife’s family and many dear cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Maurice and Katherine Kellogg.
Friends may call Sunday 1-3 p.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Joel T. Grigg, officiating. Burial will be in Sheldon Hill Cemetery, Ellenburg Depot at the convenience of his family.
