Memorial services with full military honors for Harry W. Trimm, 75, of Massena will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Massena with the Rev. Jeff Aoisa, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Norfolk. Following committal services family and friends of Harry are cordially invited to a luncheon at the VFW Post # 1143.
Harry passed away on September 12, 2010 at Fletcher - Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT.
Harry is survived by his wife Linda; two daughters and two sons; Amy Trimm of Massena, Gayle and husband Richard Fields of Massena, Daniel Trimm of Watertown, Steven and wife Lucille Trimm of Massena; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd, in 2010.
Harry was born on July 20, 1935 in Massena the son of Wilbur and Ruth (Decker) Trimm. He graduated from Massena High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Linda Robideau on July 5, 1958 in Potsdam. He was employed at Reynolds Metals and retired in 1997 after 30 years. He was previously employed at Cheverolet Plant.
Harry enjoyed bowling, fishing and gardening. Harry was a Life member of the American Legion Post #79, Life member of the AmVets Post #4, and life member of the VFW.
