Grace M. Holly, age 78, passed away on August 18, 2011 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery, Edwards officiated by lay pastor, Judy Sibley. Arrangements are being handled by French Funeral Home, Edwards.
Grace was born on October 9, 1932 in Hermon to the late Vernon L. and Nettie A. (Hance) Rice. She graduated from Edwards Central School in 1950 and married Howard “Ronald” Holly on July 15, 1950. Ronald died on May 4, 1991.
Grace worked for P&C Foods for 25 years as a meat wrapper. She had lived in Talcville most of her life, having spent the many winters and the last seven years living in North Carolina. She recently came back home to be with her family here. Mrs. Holly is a former member of the Edwards Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilary and enjoyed gardening, working on puzzles, and traveling.
Her survivors include two daughters, Joanne Holly of Harrisville, and Mrs. Randy (Carol) Masters of Toano, VA; four sons, Ronald (Judy) Holly of Benson, NC, John (Diane) Holly of Edwards, Gregory Holly of Hermon, and Terry (Deborah) Holly of Edwards; five sisters, Irene Roberts, Joyce Zeller and Sandra Carlin all of Edwards, Nancy Peck of Hammond, and Nettie Whitford of Talcville; and 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Beulah Kerr, Mary Walrath, Evelyn Rice; and a brother, Vernon L. Rice, Jr.
