Evelyn Pederson, age 88, passed away April 21, 2014. There will be no funeral services or calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Frary Funeral Home.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Peggy Estes of Ogdensburg, and Lisa Finley of San Antonio, TX; a son, LaVerne Pederson of Minot, North Dakota and his ex-wife, Susan Pederson; a brother, Thorlief Pettersen of Oslo, Norway; a niece, Grethen Davieson, also from Oslo; five grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Estes of Ogdensburg, Tiffany Schriock of Minot, North Dakota, Lance Pederson of Portland, Oregon and Adrian Finley of San Antonio, TX; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anton Pederson; and her son in law, Michael K. Estes, Sr.
Evelyn was born on October 14, 1925, in Berg, Norway, the daughter of Henry and Christine Pettersen. She came to the United States in 1951 and resided in Minot, North Dakota. Evelyn worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she retired after 25 years of service. She was awarded as a distinguished employee for her many years of service.
She enjoyed knitting, quilting and crafts. She also loved to fish, camp and cook for her family.
