Elizabeth J. Scott, 83, of Ogdensburg, died on March 5, 2014, at Riverledge Health Care & Rehabilitation, Ogdensburg.
Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, entrusted wiht arrangements. Calling hours will be Monday, March 10, 2014, from 4 - 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Father James Shurtleff officiating.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Terry and his wife Margie Scott of Baytown, Texas, Jack and his wife Valerie Scott of Heuvelton, Randy Scott of Channel View, Texas, Daniel Scott of Highland, Texas, Larry and his wife Jill Scott of Dayton,Texas, and Marcel Scott of Highland, Texas; by daughters Diane and husband Tim Valley of Ogdensburg, and Michele and husband Darren Ernst of Baytown, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond Scott; a daughter, Tammy Scott; grandsons Justin Brian Ernst and Matthew Scott; brothers Buddy and Albert Wicks; and sisters Shirley Kendall and Dorothy Premo.
Elizabeth was born on September 15, 1930, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Henry and Melvina Recore Wicks.
She married Raymond Scott on December 7, 1948 in Heuvelton. He died on November 25, 1969.
Betty was an aide at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home until her retirement.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Cathedral.
She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to casinos, fishing, playing cards, shopping, watching game shows on television, animals and Elvis.
