MASSENA — Elaine M. (Moniere) Legault, age 74, passed away peacefully from Pancreatic cancer on Friday February 3, 2023 at home with her loving family surrounding her.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Phillips Memorial Home 64 Andrews Street Massena, NY.
Born March 27th 1948 in Massena NY She was the daughter of the late Adrien and Salome (Latendresse) Moniere.
Elaine graduated from Holy Family High School in 1966. Elaine married Jack Legault on November 25th 1967. They divorced in1981.
Elaine never remarried she lived a full life traveling all over the United States enjoying her journeys. 1983 Elaine and Lisa moved to Arizona. Where she resided until 2015 and returned to Massena. She worked for Cigna healthcare as a medical assistant and billing clerk and retired from there 2004.
She is survived by her children Lisa Legault of Tempe, AZ and Chris Legault of Apache Junction Az. Grandchildren Henry, Janell, Jordan, Chris Jr, Zachary, Ethan and Leni of Arizona.
She is survived by two nieces Mrs. Georgette (John) Davis of Massena and Peggy Derouchie of Massena. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Elaine was a very loving person who was helpful to anyone who came in her path. She was known as the "Angel of Massena" for how many lives she touched through their hardest moments. She loved her family deeply and always had the warmest smile. She was loved and will be missed deeply. Services are at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of life was celebrated on Sunday February 5, 2023 at the Massena Moose Lodge.
