Eileen P. Euto, 81, 49 Churchill Avenue, passed away on Thursday, February 10, at Massena Memorial Hospital, where she was admitted on Wednesday.
Eileen was born on September 1, 1929, in Massena the daughter of Ellison R. and Irene L. Savage Price. She graduated from Massena High School in 1947. Eileen married Stanley F. Euto on June 26, 1948 at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Joseph Dowd officiating. He predeceased her on March 9, 2009.
She was employed by Stone & Co. as a saleslady, and later by Walsh Trucking in Massena for 34 years as a bookkeeper/payroll clerk. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Massena, where she served on the Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Home Bureau, and the Massena Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling with the camper from Maine to Florida, camping, crafting, quilting, baking, cooking, bowling, playing cards and dominos. She loved her grandchildren and fondly adored her great-grandchildren. She avidly followed her grandchildren’s sports activities. Lastly she enjoyed visits to the Casino.
Eileen is survived by he son Jon Euto, Massena; and daughter, Joy Lanning and her companion Kevin Hughes, Massena; four grandchildren, Justin and Wanda Lanning, Jenna Euto, Jarred Lanning, and Matthew Euto; five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Leland, Hayden, Arieonna, and Kyle. She is also survived by two nephews, Ellison Price and Gregory C. Price; and a niece, Janice Finley.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald E. Price on June 15, 2007, and a granddaughter, Jillynn Euto in January of 2000.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. David De Luca officiating. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
