Mrs. Dorena M. Watson, age 96 of Potsdam, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at her son’s home in the town of Stockholm. At her request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 12th at the Southville Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Aucoin officiating.

Dorena was born June 25, 1914 the daughter of the late Richard Caskinette and Rosella Bean. She was a graduate of St. Regis Fall High School. On June 24, 1936 at the St. Mary’s Rectory she was married to Jesse Watson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Potsdam Senior Citizens Club, the Parishville Hilltoppers and the Friendship Birthday Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Myrna and Ron Gagner South Colton; a son, Richard and Sue Watson Potsdam; grandchildren Tamara Chambers Potsdam, Mychelle Rieder of Jericho, VT, and Lynn Watson of Caledonia; and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Watson; and a grandson, Raymond Scott.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Parishville.
