MASSENA - Donna M. Rupert, 67, of Massena, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at Massena Memorial Hospital in Massena.
Born in Malone, Sept. 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Flora Dufrane Reyome. She graduated from Chateaugay Central High School and later attended Utica Business School.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mark Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Constable Cemetery in Constable.
Many years ago, Donna was employed as a medical secretary in the x-ray department of the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She later worked as a secretary for Century 21 Dufrane Reality in Massena and later C & M Ford in Massena. She retired in 1998.
Donna enjoyed quilting, sewing, and watching local figure skating and softball games. She also enjoyed babysitting her grand dog "Mickey" and visiting relatives and friends.
On July 20, 1963, she was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Rupert at St. George's Church in Burke. He survives.
Along with her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Chad Alexander of Fort Covington; one daughter-in-law, Marie Rupert of Bradford, Pa.; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Victor Revette of Lakeland, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son, Keith J. Rupert on April 25, 2003.
Donations may be made in her memory to either the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
