Demetra S. Smith, 57, Ashley Road, North Bangor, passed away on December 22, at Alice Hyde Hospital.

She was born on February 4, 1954, in Paducah, the daughter of Kenneth and Linda Sweat Walters. She attended schools in Kentucky. Demetra is survived by her husband William; a brother Kenneth Walters; a sister Destinay; and her mother Linda Walters, all of KY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Malone Jehovah Witness. Demetra enjoyed camping and fishing. She was an avid bird watcher.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
