Funeral services for Catherine Lucille Bourbeau, 514 Crescent St., Ogdensburg, will be held on July 25, at 11 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on July 25 at Frary Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. Mrs. Bourbeau passed away on July 14 at United Helpers Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Joan Stevenson, Ogdensburg and Eleanor Stevenson, Ogdensburg; a foster brother, William Lebeau and his wife Angela of Sandwich, MA; three stepsons, Richard and his wife Lois of Enfieldet, CT, Nelson and his wife Janet of Andover, CT and Peter of Arizona; a stepdaughter-in-law, Betty Ann Bourbeau of North Carolina. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was predeceased by seven sisters, Anna Morabito, Helen Lawrence, Pauline Kennedy, Ruth Cunningham, Doris Di Folca, Betty Stevenson, and Patricia Perry; five brothers, William Stevenson, Donald Stevenson, Grant James Stevenson, Glendon Stevenson and Richard Stevenson; and one stepson, David Bourbeau.
Mrs. Bourbeau was born on July 24, 1920, in the town of Oswegatchie, the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Farrell) Kennedy. She attended local schools. She married Nelson J. Bourbeau in Hartford, Connecticut in 1968. Mr. Bourbeau died on October 29, 2007. She worked for J.J. Newberry in Ogdensburg and for Britt’s in Kingston. She retired in 1979.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and sports on T.V.
