Funeral Services for six year old Casiya F. Liebfred of Massena, will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Garner Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Deliar celebrant. Burial will follow the service at the Garfield Cemetery in Potsdam.
Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cerebral Palsy Association. Casiya passed away on Saturday, October 2nd in the Emergency Room at the Massena Memorial Hospital. She had Cystic Fibrosis and Cerebral Palsy.
Casiya F. Liebfred was born April 17, 2004 in Burlington, Vermont to Brandon K. Cayea and Melissa Liebfred. She was currently a first grade student at the Jefferson Elementary School in Massena.
She is survived by her loving caregivers April and Wayne Storm of Massena; her mother, Melissa Liebfred of Norfolk; her father, Brandon Cayea of Plattsburgh; maternal grandparents, Lyle Liebfred of Norwood, Naomi Phillips of Norfolk, and Carl Monroe of Norfolk; great maternal grandfather, James Liebfred Sr. of Norwood; paternal grandparents Cidney and John Cayea of Brasher Center; chosen grandparents Dorothy Buckshot of Cornwall Island; brother Karl Liebfred of Norfolk; sisters Mckenzie Russell of Norfolk and Faithanne Deshane of Potsdam; step brothers Trayen Terrance and Joseph Castle of Massena; step sisters, Autina Terrance and Amanda Castle of Massena; and several aunts, uncles and friends.
Casiya was a very fun loving child. She always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed telling stories, playing with her princesses, Dora, watching cartoons, singing and riding horses. Her favorite thing to do was hanging out with her “Daddy Wayne.”
