Calvin W. Denhoff, 67, Canton

Funeral Services for Calvin W. Denhoff, 67, of Pollock Road, Canton, will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. Cal Zimmer officiating. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Canton.

Calvin died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Highland Nursing Home after being admitted on Feb. 2nd.

He was born August 22, 1944 in Potsdam, the son of the late William D. and Rosella (Wells) Denhoff. He attended Canton A.T.I. and later graduated from Potsdam State with a B.A. in Psychology (1972).

Surviving are his godson, David Hartman; two brothers, Kurt and wife MaryAnn of Fabius and Dana and companion Robin of Potsdam; two nieces, Alexa and Anna Denhoff; and a nephew, Austin Denhoff.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Alan who died April 27, 1969.

Calvin was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from Aug 1965 to August 1969. He had worked for the Potsdam Girls Home, the Ogdensburg State Hospital, was Night Manager at St. Lawrence University Library and the St. Lawrence Bookstore, where he was affectionately known as the “Brew Master”.

He also enjoyed gardening, reading and drawing.
