OGDENSBURG -- Budd “Butch” Bracy Jr. -- Budd went to be with our Lord on August 15, 2023. Budd was 76.
He was born in Ogdensburg, NY to parents Ida M. and Budd D. Bracy Sr.
He was predeceased by his father and mother.
He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Katie) Bracy, one son and daughter-in-law, Brandt and Michelle Bracy of Oneida, one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Michael Cromer of Rochester and 3 grandchildren, Arianna Bracy, Logan Bracy, and Victoria Mastrangelo. Also surviving are 2 sisters, MaryAnn Hill (Maurice), and Cheryl Drummond (Gordon), 2 brothers, Steven Bracy (Kathy) and Daniel Bracy.
Budd graduated from Heuvelton Central School, IBM School, and Onondaga Community College.
Budd retired from United Technologies Carrier Corporation after 40 years of service in 2004.
In addition, Budd farmed all his life, was active in 4H and FFA with Holstein cattle, and raised both Registered Polled Hereford Cattle and hay. His farm was his sanctuary.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the NYS Conspicuous Service Cross.
He was a 54-year member and past Commander of American Legion Post #54 in Munnsville, NY, and a 40-year member of the Simon Parise Post 9596 VFW in East Syracuse.
He was also a member of the CNY Antique Tractor Club.
He and Katie split their time between NY and Texas.
He was a member of the Medina Community Church in Medina, Texas.
Katie would like to thank all the staff at Crouse Community Center for their care and compassion not only for Budd but for her as well. Special thanks to everyone on Unit E. You all became our family and for that, I am forever grateful.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 2 PM on the family farm at 5217 Buyea Road, Morrisville NY 13408.
Budd was a jeans, flannel shirt & t-shirt kind of guy. Casual dress, please!
