Funeral services for Bradley R. Decker, age 50, of State Highway 184, DePeyster, will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Frary Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at Doug’s Tavern in Heuvelton. Mr. Decker passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.
Mr. Decker is survived by two sons, Brenton Decker and Brookin Decker, both of DePeyster; one daughter, Karlissa Decker of Portland, TN; one sister, Tina Wood and her husband Kevin of Ogdensburg; one brother, John B. Decker III and his wife Lisa, Ogdensburg; his good friend, Sharon Bradley of Ogdensburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Decker was born on March 4, 1961 in Gouverneur, the son of John B. Jr. and Nancy A. Cook Decker. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1979. He married Lisa Swan on February 16, 1985 at the First Presbyterian Church in Heuvelton, which later ended in divorce. Mr. Decker was employed by the Local Plumbing Union No. 73 for over 25 years.
Mr. Decker was a member of the Eagle Scouts. His hobbies included hunting, snowmobiling, bowling, fishing, basketball and softball. He enjoyed watching car racing.
