A celebration of life for Beverly H. Compo, 76, of Louisville, will be held Saturday (Jan. 22, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. at Louisville Community Church with Rev. Helen Beck and Thomas Nichols presiding. Interment will be in Louisville Community Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Beverly passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 19, 2011.
Beverly is survived by her husband Donald "Joe"; two daughters, Nancy and husband Wayne Charleston of Louisville, and Tammy Compo of Louisville; a granddaughter, Christine Gagne of Troy; brother Ray and Eleanor Hurlbut of Louisville; a sister, Karen and husband Ronnie Aldous of Louisville; a brother-in-law, William Maxwell of Louisville; and by many special nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and Gramma's angel "Patches".
Beverly was born January 1, 1935 in Louisville the daughter of Kenneth and Fannie (Wagstaff) Hurlbut. She graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School. She married Donald "Joe" Compo on January 15, 1955 at the Louisville Community Church. Beverly worked and retired from Reynolds Metals.
She was an avid golfer and was in many leagues. She was a member of the Louisville Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Massena Free Clinic, member of Louisville Community Church and was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed many winters in Myrtle Beach with her husband and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes to have contributions made to Hope Lodge Burlington, VT., Massena Humane Society, Massena Free Clinic or Charity of one's Choice.
